So here’s the deal, these babies are real treasures!  Every piece of textile in this collection has a story.  They have been created by hand, by the MASTERS.  I search high and low for textiles that have been curated with specific techniques. These have been found in specialty textile shops around the globe, barns, antique markets, attics…treasures untold.  I admit I will go to great lengths to attain the perfect look and sometimes you just can’t fake it.  The authenticity of genuine mud cloth or a batik cannot be replicated.

These textiles are not pristine in alignment or weave.  They have the perfect amount of wear and patina and come exactly how they were made.  Sometimes these pieces come in half a yard or a fragmented piece and I will complete the pillow with a linen back in order to use every last little bit of this art as possible.

All of the vintage hemp Hmong textiles have been hand embroidered, hand woven and hand dyed. Truly one-of-a-kind. Enjoy!
